What's Up?

* Our second District Grant, for equipment at the the Yarnell Regional Community Center, was approved.  Stay tuned for an opportunity to visit the center and see what the grant has accomplished.

* We officially inducted Ron Williams at yesterday's meeting.  Ron is a long-time Rotarian, involved in many local and international projects.  We expect he'll present a program soon on "Jazz My Ride," a wheelchair project based in District 4185 in Mexico.

* Sharee is curating an art exhibit focusing on mental health, called "The Art of Healing."  Members are invited to the opening reception August 3, 4-6 PM.  An informal club get-together for dinner and/or drinks will follow.  This is a great opportunity to support Sharee and for many of us to meet face-to-face.

* Valerie Wright, a TRVFA Scholarship recipient, graduated with her LPN (Nursing).  She's another TRVFA success story.  Many thanks to Patrick for coordinating our club's involvement with the program!

* We're expecting another new member soon.  More members mean more positive impact on the community and the world. Perhaps there's someone you'd like to invite.

* As always, service projects and events organized by other district 5495 clubs are listed here and in the calendar section of the website.  Please let Rebecca know if you have something to add.
July 10 speaker Teresa Haire shared the Mental Health First Aid program, and the district's commitment to address this important issue.
From the Prez
Our club structure is unique. We have fewer meetings and club obligations give us the flexibility we like, while still having a chance to serve. This reminds me of an idea I heard years ago that we can contribute time, talent,
or treasure. We can all contribute to promoting the things we care about. Be mindful that our support can take on many different modes. When you want to propose a new project or are interested in proposing a new member, please get involved in whatever capacity you can. It will help
move things along and get them done. Time, Talent, Treasure. We can all help.
