* Yesterday's board meeting was brief but productive. We're ironing out some financial procedures, including insuring that there are at least two signers on the checking account and setting up online banking, if possible.
* Condolences to Tom N, whose brother passed this week after a long illness.
* Help is needed on District committees, including Mental Health, Peace Builders, District Grants (a part of the Foundation Committee), Strategic Planning, and inbound Youth Exchange. For more information, contact Ali, or DG Michelle Holcomb.
* As always, service projects and events organized by other district 5495 clubs are listed here and in the calendar section of the website. Please let Rebecca know if you have something to add.
From the Prez
The Rotary International Convention will be held in Calgary, AB next June 21-25. Rebecca and I will be attending. We have missed a few either due to prior commitments or travel
distance. This will be my third convention. What I have learned is that a lot of great ideas are circulating at a convention, I just need to go out and find them. This is a not a passive endeavor. I hope to find other small club presidents and share our successes and ideas for growth.
Our structure requires me to explain a Passport Club to almost everyone I meet. We then talk about current projects and ideas for the future. I will represent our club and the unique structure at the convention. If you can, it is a worthwhile trip to make. RI Conventions are a lot of fun.
