Did you know Glendale West Rotary Club meetings are live?
Glendale West Rotary Club started broadcasting via Facebook live in August of this year as an attempt to assist members who are traveling, have work conflicts, and a host of other reasons for missing. "Our members are family and I want them to know what is happening in the club when they are not able to be in attendance," said Angel Aguirre, Club President. The club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, barring holiday conflicts. They request everyone's patience through the beginning pains of smoothing out the wrinkles of this new endeavor.

Glendale West Rotary Club volunteers!
Club members, friends and family joined with Arizona Burn Foundation, City of Glendale Fire Department, American Red Cross and various other non-profits to ensure the safety of families in a Glendale neighborhood. They offered installation of free smoke alarms, testing of the residents current system and educational material regarding what to do in the case of a fire.
In the course of the morning, GWR canvassed approximately 50 homes and installed 27 smoke alarms. There were 130 installed throughout the morning due to the efforts of all the volunteers.
